Synopsis

Read about the second episode of Smallville, in which Clark has to use his super powers to protect the girl he loves…

Greg Arkin used to hang out with Clark Kent. Now he has no friends and loves bugs.

He also loves secretly looking at Lana Lang. He gives her butterflies in a box.

One night, Greg is attacked by his bugs in his car. He becomes an insect, with super powers.

He uses his powers to try to kill Lana's boyfriend, Whitney, as he is driving home in his truck.

Luckily, Clark and his parents drive by and Clark saves Whitney's life.

Clark's friend, Lex, tells Lana that Clark is a better man than Whitney. He also makes her think about who tied Clark up in a cornfield.

Greg's mother finds him in his bedroom. He seems to kill her!

Greg attacks Clark and his father in their barn. Clark saves his father from a fall and Greg goes away.

Greg goes to find Lana and pushes Whitney away when he tries to help her. Greg takes Lana and runs away with her to put her in a cocoon.

Clark fights Greg to save Lana, and Greg dies in an old warehouse.

Clark returns to help Lana out of the cocoon, but Whitney gets there first.

Lex has given Clark Lana's necklace.

The kryptonite on the necklace makes him weak so he can't get near Lana. However, he knows she loves it.

Clark puts the necklace outside Lana's door and runs away.
