Weekly focus - Reading minds

In this episode, Ryan can read people's minds. Do you think people can really be mind readers? Here are two people who say they can read minds and do magic.

Derren Brown - Mind Control (www.channel4.com/science/microsites/M/mindcontrol/reading.html)
You can see his programme on TVB Pearl at 8.30p.m. on Sundays. He does magic tricks and says he reads people's minds. Watch the show to find out!

His website has a fun game about planets. You can also try to read Derren's mind from a video.

Click on "Secret Skills". Derren will teach you to tell if someone is lying and to improve your memory. This is quite good fun and useful.

David Blaine (http://www.magicdirectory.com/blaine/)
David Blaine is the most famous magician in the world. He recently spent 44 days high up in a box in London. He also does amazing card tricks. You can often see his show on AXN, Channel 22 of Cable TV.

You can read more about him on the BBCi website here. This article also talks about Houdini, the most famous magician ever.

Mind reader games
Here are two online games that can "read your mind". They're fun to play.

http://javascript.internet.com/games/mind-reader.html - This game can guess the number you're thinking of.

http://www.mysticalball.com/ - This game is even cleverer.
