It's October 1989, in Smallville, a small town in America.

Jonathan and Martha Kent were in a flower shop with Lana Lang and her aunt.

Lex Luthor ran away from his father, into a cornfield. He saw an older boy tied on a stick like a scarecrow.

A meteorite hit Smallville, killing Lana Lang's parents. Lex Luthor lost his hair and the Kents found a small boy near a spaceship.

Clark, the boy in the spaceship, has grown up. He was looking at the Internet.

Clark ran to school after missing the bus.

He met his friends Pete Ross and Chloe Sullivan at school. When he walked towards Lana Lang, he fell over as usual. Her necklace makes Clark weak. Her boyfriend, Whitney Fordman, laughed.

Lex Luthor came back to Smallville to run his father's factory.

His car hit Clark and went into a river. Clark wasn't hurt and saved Lex.

Jeremy Creek, who Lex saw before the meteorite, came back for revenge. He used his electrical powers on the boys that tied him up in the cornfield.

Lex gave Clark a new car but his father told him to give it back. His father doesn't trust the Luthors.

Clark asked his father why he was so strong. His father showed him the spaceship.

Chloe showed Clark her "Wall of weird". It shows all the strange things that have happened in Smallville since the meteorite. Clark felt guilty.

Lana gave Whitney her necklace. It made Clark weak so Whitney tied him up like a scarecrow.

Lex found Clark in a field and saved him.

Clark went to the school dance. He met Jeremy Creek. They had a fight. Clark won and Jeremy was normal again.

For revenge, Clark put Whitney's car on top of his friends' cars.

Clark went home. He imagined dancing with Lana but could only watch her go home alone.
