Here's
what Lizzie gets up to:
Lizzie's school has a Factathlon, a quiz. Lizzie, Miranda
and Gordo form a team. The prize is a free trip to Miami.
They want to beat another team with Kate, Larry and Claire.
Mr Dig helps them study. He makes studying fun. He doesn't
want them to only learn facts. They dress in old English clothes
and learn by doing.
The
other team looks tired and under pressure. Lizzie, Miranda
and Gordo are confident at the start of the quiz.
However,
Kate's team wins easily. They know all the dates in history.
Lizzie's team can't answer many questions.
Kate's team make fun of Lizzie's team. Mr Dig wants to leave
school because they did badly. But his team tells him they
really learnt something and had fun.
Kate, Larry and Claire come back from Miami. They all got
sick there. Lizzie, Miranda and Gordo all laugh.
Here's
what Matt gets up to:
Matt
and Lanny start a rock band.
They
audition lots of people. Most of them are terrible! One man
plays the drums really well. He joins the band.
They start to practice but sound bad. Matt wants to have a concert but his parents hope he will not. They think people will laugh at Matt's band.
At the concert, they sound really good! His parents tell him to have more concerts but Matt says he has tried being in a band. He wants to do something new now!
