I am jealous that you, guys, are so lucky that you can have such precious chance to learn drama. It is a very valuable practice that you not only can learn English through drama but also can acquire the accent from a native English speaker. I remember that when I was a secondary school student, I rarely had the chance to talk to a foreigner. All my English teachers were Chinese. I feel that you are very lucky that your school takes such a good care of you.

How are you being influenced by the drama teachers? How would you plan to learn English next year? Would you join an extra-curricula activity related to drama?

Dear 2A,

I felt a bit lonely this year’s mother because my mother has gone to the USA since March. She has to take care of her grandson. Her grandson, my nephew, is fifteen months old. My sister has to work and sometimes she even has to go on a business trip for a week. That is the reason why my sister needs my mum so desperately. On the phone, I knew that she celebrated with mum at a Chinese restaurant. They had a great time.

Mum does not go to the USA for vacation. Mum takes care of the baby boy twenty-four hours a day. But, occasionally, she and my daddy go to have dim sum with their old friends in Houston. A couple of weeks ago, my sister took them to Las Vegas where originally was a desert but not is a city with a lot of casinos. They went sightseeing and tried the famous buffet dinner there.

When I talked to mum on phone on mother’s day, I promised her that I would take her on vacation after she returns to Hong Kong. Would you be willing to go on a holiday with our parents when you grow up??

Dear 2A,

Horror stories used to be my favourite when I was a primary school student. I could still remember that I loved reading ghosts stories a lot. Every weekend, I buried myself in the library and read a lot of spooky stories.

Gradually, I started to read different kinds of books since my secondary school teachers told me that we should broaden our horizon by reading a variety of books. I have been reading a wide range of different categories of books since then. I like detective stories, science fictions, philosophy, Martial Art and of course love stories. Do you know that you can benefit a lot from reading.

Reading can keep your mind active. It helps you to keep up with what is going on in the world. Reading newspaper or magazine for half an hour a day can already bring you a lot of information.

Reading can also help you to make friends. The more you read, the more knowledgeable you are. Your friends would find that you are funny, intelligent and smart.

Reading also help you forget some of the problems in you own life. Once buried in the book, you can go anywhere whenever you like to. Today the well-connected on-line system allows you to read can read wherever you like to. It is in fact very convenient. So, kids, please start reading.

I am glad that all of you do care the environment so much. The problems of the environment are getting worse and worse. The deterioration of different kinds of pollutions worsen the living condition of not only the humans but also the animals.

Human being is the wisest animal on the earth. So, in my opinion, we, human being, should take the greatest responsibility to protect the earth. We should take some measures so as to keep the balance of the ecological environment.

Personally, I am a supporter to the green campaign. So, 2A, please join me. Actually, we can be very helpful to the earth. What action can we take? I believe that you can think of many ways. Tell me as many as possible!

Dear 2A,

Currently, Hong Kong people have been highly interested in the case of Tsui Po-Ko. This case has been a hot issue and caused a sensation throughout the territory. People from all walks of life chitchat about it.

From the psychological and societal point of view, there are striking cases like this in highly densely populated cities from time to time because people living in crowded and stressful environment would cause a lot of unusual events. Hong Kong is a highly developed city, so it is not surprising that cases like this would happen.

The most important thing that we have to learn is that we have to be honest and we should never harm the others. We have to live peacefully with the others and we need to learn to respect the others. Do you agree?
